Offshore Smorgasbord! Can't Post

June 8th, 2008

Brian, Savanna and Kimberly from Austin, Texas joined the LP II crew for some deep sea sportfishing off Fort Lauderdale today. We started off the morning right, cutting fresh strips to troll for some kingfish. The nice thing about fishing off of Fort Lauderdale is you only have to run about a mile offshore to get to deep water. This is deep sea fishing at it's finest, you never know what your going to hook! Right off the bat a 15 lb kingfish hit the deck. Within an hour we had a king, a nice bonito and a blackfin tuna in the cockpit. Kite fishing was next on our list. We headed out to 350 feet of blue water - no luck. We went closer inshore to 150 feet of water, still, no luck. Ship wrecks were on our route, we made a few drops, but nobody was home.

Tight Lines!
