Fort Lauderdale Deep Sea Fishing Can't Post

June 9th, 2008

This morning we headed out of Shallow Harbor with Sam from Iowa. She had never been deep sea fishing anywhere, and Fort Lauderdale was her first choice. She had caught walleyes before in lakes in Iowa, but that is totally different from deep sea fishing off Lauderdale. We love introducing our sport to new people. You could land a 150 lb trophy or a 5 lb dolphin. We started out explaining the types of fishing we do aboard the Lady Pamela II and she was stoked to catch some fish. We set our trolling gear in 160 feet of water and moved to 230 feet of water catching kingfish and bonitos in good numbers. We fished two lines down and 3 fresh strips on the surface. We got a sailfish bite in 200 feet of water, but I missed the sail on our top bait.

Tight Lines!
